Setting Your ARC Node Password

ARC Accounts include a secure Remote Signer Lightning Network node. This is what allows ARC to auto-reconcile collateral between counterparties. It is imperative that you secure this node. This process will only be done once, at account creation. At times, you may be required to enter the credentials for this Remote Signer node, so keep it secure.

Set your Remote Signer password

You will be presented with a form to set a password and confirm your password. This is the password that will secure your Remote Signer node. Please keep this secure, but don't lose it. If it is ever necessary to restore your node or recover funds, this password is the key to that.

Wait for your Remote Signer to be created

After submitting the form, you will see a page reminding you to not leave this page Please don't leave this page or navigate away. It is important to let the process complete. This takes about 1 minute.

Remote Signer creation complete

Once the Remote Signer is created, you will be able to create contracts as either a lender or borrower.
